Roverway 2009 – Open up…

Roverway is an event offered by the Europe Region WAGGGS and the European Scout Region for Rovers and Rangers, aged between 16 to 22.

After the two successful past editions (in and ), the event will be now organised by the Icelandic Boy and Girl Scout Association (Bandalag islenskra skata); Scouts and Guides from all over Europe will have now the opportunity to experience Roverway in a completely different location: Iceland! 

More than 20 representatives from European Guide and Scout Associations gathered last weekend in Ulfljotsvatn, the site that will host the next edition of Roverway. These representatives have been appointed as “Jambassadors” and will soon start their work to promote the event within their national associations.

They have had the opportunity to discover the camp site and to experience Icelandic environment and nature, in order to prepare their national contingents to face this challenging and exciting event in such a wonderful country!

The 2^nd International Planning Team Meeting also took place during the weekend, with the participation of the Roverway core team, and the WOSM and WAGGGS Committee members and staff responsible for the event.
